Blessed with abundant nature in every season, you can enjoy nature all year round, from the beautiful fresh greenery of spring, to the fireflies in early summer, the autumn leaves and festivals, and the winter dawn view from Hinodeyama.
More than 70% of the town's total area is covered by forests, and the western part of the town is dotted with tourist facilities such as Hinodeyama, from which the town is named, Tsurutsuru Onsen, and Hinode Sanso, while in the eastern part of the town, near the Hinode Interchange on the Ken-O Expressway, industrial parks and Aeon Malls are opening up, and new residential areas are being developed.

▶History and Culture
------------------
Hinode Town is an area that condenses the geographical characteristics of the Tama region, such as mountains, hills, plateaus, and rivers, and its complex and diverse topography has fostered a unique historical and cultural development.
For example, the stupa industry, which uses the fir trees that grow naturally, and the cement industry, which uses limestone contained in the Mesozoic geology, were born.
In addition, the mountains, which have been the objects of worship since ancient times, and the forests and rivers that support people's lives have created a rich historical culture that is passed down in temples, shrines, rows of houses, events, and customs.
Furthermore, many natural waterside and forest environments remain, and hillside ecosystems that are home to rare plants and animals are protected.

▶Local communities

In Hinode Town, various events and festivals are held throughout the year. In addition to the Summer Festival and Industrial Festival, which are attended by many people from inside and outside the town, there are plenty of events that children and adults can enjoy together, such as events made by locals.
Additionally, the town is collaborating with Asia University, which has a campus in Hinode Town, to hold sports festivals and connect with a variety of organizations, aiming to create a town filled with smiles and energy.

▶Sightseeing and Activities
--------------------------------
You can feel nature and the atmosphere of the countryside even in ordinary scenery, but in the spring, when the cherry blossom trees lining the Hirai River are in full bloom, the circle of human interaction expands through seasonal harvesting experiences such as bamboo shoot picking and potato digging, starting with the Cherry Blossom Festival.
Hinodeyama is a popular hiking route with a panoramic view from the summit and an elevation of 902m, and is a popular day trip that can be enjoyed in combination with the alkaline natural hot springs at the foot of the mountain. The town is also filled with the charm of nature throughout the four seasons, including stream fishing, trout catching, and BBQ at Sakanaen, perfect for families and groups. Hinodeyama is also said to be the model for the hometown of the characters in the anime Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.
At the Fureai Farm Produce Direct Sales Center, you can get fresh, locally grown vegetables at reasonable prices, and the regularly held "Hinode Morning Market" is also popular.
